It's a nice concept... A vintage RV park, so yes, quarters will be cramped even in their largest trailer (which my wife and I booked). The only part of the trailer that was supposedly cleaned was the bathtub because it smelled like bleach. The floors were grainy and dirty. It was like there was sand on the floors, as my feet were dirty just walking to the opposite end of the trailer. As much as one pays to stay here, one would expect the trailer to be thoroughly cleaned and the floors mopped. The TV didn't work (the DVD player kept freezing), and the record player barely had any sound. The only complimentary item we received was a pack of four nutter butter cookies No vouchers for a complimentary breakfast... nothing. Frankly, i would have had a better time at a Best Western or Motel 6. The diner and bar are only open until 2:00 PM... And this was a Friday evening! Overall, the Shady Dell Vintage RV park looked like a ghost town. You'd think it would be more lively and social on the weekend, but not even the office was staffed. Instead of staying a second night, we ate the cost and left early Saturday morning.

Loved this spot! It was super cute and I felt like I was staying in a boat. The wood finish was really nice! Only down side was the ashtray wasn't cleaned out. As an ex smoker that was a bit of a trigger.

Such a great little spot. They definitely make you feel like you've stepped back in time. Jennifer and her team are incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is our new favorite place to stay when going to bisbee. Great breakfast as well and they do a special dinner every month.

Normally we stay in Old Bisbee, but we weren't able to find a room. We had friends who were staying at the Shady Dell, so we booked one of the trailers. The 1950s theme everywhere is very cute, but overall it was basically an expensive camping trip. I'm not sure why the rooms are advertised for $85 a night, we paid over $140. There is no one in the office, so your check-in instructions are scotch taped to the door and your key is left in the door lock of the trailer. Our friends needed extra towels and a space heater, but were not able to get them because no one was in the office, and no one returned their call to the office number. There are a lot of old cars, neon signs, an old carnival rides that look like they are going to be restored eventually. But in the meantime, it has a very "Fallout" apocalypse type of feel to it- especially with the cemetery adjacent to the property. The space heater didn't heat the whole trailer and didn't heat the bathroom- which was about the size of an airplane bathroom with a sink that is in the stand up shower. If you are ok with a very tight space or used to camping, then this place is for you. It's something to try once for the kitschy factor and then get a real hotel room with a real shower. We were also told to bring our trash to the dumpster at the end of the property, which was locked. For the prices, I didn't expect to throw out the garbage. It is a one & done place to stay because you do not get your money's worth.
